I don’t disagree… but this is a new era. This is as much about excitement, and entertaining, and plenty of guys are boring (ie- pointing up, kneeling, doing nothing) If ALL players did that, and never ever spiked a ball, or jumped up and down (Fitzpatrick squeal…. that was soo funny) with excitement… wouldn’t that make it far more boring game in, and game out? I think it would. I understand the whole “act like you been there before” but the guys who really go back again and again and again, should be inclined to “personalize” it in some way, to me. I don’t see why it has to be all or nothing. Can’t he just do a normal celebration, that isn’t against the rules, and still is entertaining? Cruz does a dance. What is wrong with making up an endzone DANCE for a celebration? nothing. It is legal, it doesn’t need to be offensive, it can be fun, and it isn’t inherently UNclassy. to me at least. But then, I am more inclined to want to be entertained, then for a TD (the single most significant thing in any game) to just be mundane, or “ho- hum”
