What was your Super Bowl grub?
What did you make for the big game?
I threw down some lasagna with extra cheese (Marie Callendar's) and some Banquet fried chicken with brown sugar spiced barbeque sauce. Lotsa leftovers since it was just me, my brother and my dad.
What did you make, and if you wish to include, who all did you invite over? Was it a big party? How much did you have to end up spending?
Have at thee!
Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.

Made corned beef, cabbage and new potatoes for the main course. Ate around 3 o’clock.
Later, took the deep fryer out into the garage (so I didn’t stink up the house for wifey) and made real big, fat chicken wings I bought from the butcher.
Finished up cooking about 30 min before the game, and it was all good!

how were the wings?
did they bake them? or do you have somewhere near you that they actually know how to make them right? I bet you did them yourself. ; )
We did a plate of loaded nachos, some other chips and dip, some pizza rolls, but we weren’t entertaining anyone or anything really, so we were pretty low key this year. It was nice… because I didn’t want to be rude at someone else’s house while I complained about the Pats, and I got to enjoy each and every second of the game, and commercials… It was a good game. Oh yeah… and Brady lost, exactly how I posted on FB that he would. (I posted “Brady will come up short at the end, and fail to pull off the go ahead score. Eli wins the MVP”- and lo and behold….. lol Made it a great game for me. Plus my buddy lost a buncha money betting exactly opposite of what I suggested… and so i got to rub that stuff in too. )

LOL@ baking wings………. no, i make them myself. Deep fried in Oil, Pizzia I did bake it, not the wings though. I still can’t believe you said that.

and yes, they are always good. My kids would authenticate it as well. They always asked me to make Buffalo wings once a week.

i am telling ya (as i mentioned previously)
i’ve got family in the south. those people have no idea about wings. Good for you, making your own. I knew that you had to have, otherwise there should have been some b*tching. lol.

Deep-fried buffalo wings are not the greatest version of said chicken appendage. Pit-smoked BBQ wings own the trophy in my world.

i can respect that.
We should agree though, that breaded and baked- not the way to go. lol

Not the way to go for sure. I love traditional wings, but it’s rare that they wow me. They’re familiar and consistent. I’m floored every time I have Dinosaur BBQ’s pit-smoked wings.

Buffet
Caribou Chili (working title “Rudolph’s Sweet Chili Heat”)
Pulled Pork (the one we’ve been taking to every Bills game years now)
Homemade Wings and sauces
Meatballs and sauce
Spinach and Artichoke dip
Taco Dip
Caesar Salad
… oh and I fermented a bottle of rum in 4 berry cocktail for a week
Catch the Taste!
Why not “Red-Nosed Chili”?

beer.....
then a keg
after that, we got serious, and bought more beer….
:-)
of course some needed food to wash the beer down, so we had….
Roast Beef and Weck from Wegmans
Home made Buffalo tenders
BBQ Rotisserie chicken
mac and tossed salads
chips, ’zels, and dip
Optimistic??? Of course I am!! I'm a Bills fan, and as of right now, we are undefeated on the regular season!!!
Things are truly looking up!!!
The South sucks. Because I can’t get Weck rolls in any bakery anywhere.

You guys know how to eat.
It was nice enough down here in Louisiana to use the grill, so I through a mix of steak, pork, & chicken kabobs on the grill.

How in the world did you successfully combine all those types of alcohol?
"Son. People can see you!"
by TheAfghanTwilight on Feb 8, 2012 8:56 AM EST up reply actions
Captain Morgan’s and Coke – Pregame
Jaeger Shots with Mike’s harder lemonade chasers – 1st half
Needless to say by halftime you are pretty buzzed so you need to go to lower alcohol content.
Guiness Extra Stout – 2nd half.
That’s how.
And remember the golden rule of drinking which fashioned this.
Liquor then Beer – Never fear.
Beer then Liquor – Never sicker.

Another cool drink we made in year's past.
Red Bull and Champagne.
1 part Red Bull to 3 parts Champagne.
It’s surprisingly good.
