Bills hire a quarterback mechanic in Lee - The Buffalo News
"I know everybody talks about how smart he is and his Harvard background and that's a plus also but he is really tough," he said. "Secondly, he's mastered 'funny body' throws as good as anybody I've ever seen. When things break down or the hot's coming and you can't set your feet, he really gives the guy a chance to catch the football. Ironically, it seems like when he does miss it's when the protection is the cleanest and he can execute the fundamentals the best."
Bicknell sees smooth transition with WR group - BuffaloBills.com
"He was an offensive coordinator in the now defunct NFL Europe from 2001-2003 as his offense led the league in passing yards and was second in yards from scrimmage. They also won World Bowl X. His offense again led the league in passing yards the following season as well as yards from scrimmage."
"Number one is accuracy," said Lee. "Accuracy is the number one critical factor. Two, I think is toughness. Three, decision making. Four, would be the ability for the quarterback to extend a play, we call this escape ability. Five, is leadership. Six, is he a pressure player?"
Inside The Bills | Lee spoke with Fitz
"I had a real good visit with him," said Lee. "Don’t know when I’ll get to see him you know we got these new rules and they get to stay away from us for a long time but I’m not ready to see him yet anyway. I don’t enough about him or the offense to help him out right now."
Inside The Bills | Draft board getting set
"It will take up to two weeks to have it completed as the scouting staff pours through player reports and the other pertinent information gathered through the course of the past college season."

"Wilson writes that Corto has been cut by the team, after spending a total of three seasons on the active roster with the team. "

Their defensive list confuses me. Not the list, I guess, but the way they describe it.
Early look at Bills free agency - AFC East Blog - ESPN

If the Blue Jays go with grass, would that mean the end of the Bills in Toronto series?

Wouldn’t that be a huge red flag if you were running the show at OBD?

It’s like the opposite of Trent Edwards who could only function when he was the cleanest.

But that’s not really true. Edwards was very good initially against the blitz, but struggled most when 3-4 defenses dropped everyone into coverage.

thinking the same thing
A strange comment to make for sure. Plus, Lee was at Miami when Thigpen was there…how’s that working out? Gailey wouldn’t even put Thigpen in for a (rumored to be injured) Fitz. So, I am skeptical that Lee can “cure” Fitz’s ills. Said ills were/are not all injury related.
And, personally, I don’t think Romo has blossomed into a particularly stellar QB despite having had Lee’s tutelage.
The Dallas-Miami- Bills connection continues.

One could easily say that the reason Romo has regressed has been not having Lee for several years now. I am not a Lee apologist, but let’s at least be straightforward. The real key is, if Lee could do it for Pennington, the only question is will Fitzpatrick truly buy in and do the work it takes to change? In my mind, this is the only question, and one we will not know the answer to until next season.

This is just a hunch...
but Fitz seems to me like the type of guy who will constantly study and practice new things in the hopes of getting better. I think he will make a genuine effort to implement Lee’s teachings.

im with you
i dont think anyone doubts fitz’s work ethic. he’ll put in the time to make the most of lee’s teachings. and personally, i think he has the talent to make it happen. i havent given up on him like everyone else :-)

I’m sure he’ll buy in. If Einstein were still around, I could buy into learning quantum physics….I just don’t think the “buy in” would be enough. I do not believe Fitz’s buy in will be enough either.
