Good morning Bills Nation,

Today is an exciting day for football fans. In about 5 hours, the free agency period will start and teams can officially start building their teams to compete for the top available players.

It's exciting to think that our team can/may be players in this year's free agency period, and will have a shot at getting one or two big name guys.

But I have a confession Bills fans. This time of year is more exciting to me then the draft, and the actual season. I just realize this yesterday, that I prefer the offseason more than the actual season. I wonder how much of this is due to the fact that our seasons suck and usually by week 10, I'm already looking forward to the offseason. It's strange, that I get more enjoyment out of watching the draft and speculating on free agents, than I do on Sunday's watching the game. Watching the game isn't fun for me, it's quite agonizing and the majority of the time I know how it's going to end; me drunk and pissed off. Fortunately for me, this applies to about 2/3 of the league as they either had a losing season or missed the playoffs. So it's surprising to me that the Free Agency period doesn't get as much hype as the NFL draft, considering this is probably one of the most exciting times for 2/3 of the fans, and it's the first shot at improving your team from last year's crap.

The truth is, the only outlet I have on Sunday's is my Fantasy Football team and my Madden Franchise season; sad and pathetic, I know.

I'm hoping that ESPN, NFL Network, Fox, CBS, etc really capitalize on the Free Agency period and all the drama that accompany it. I will like to see Free Agency start at 7pm-prime time, and have all of the journalist (Glazer, Lombardi, Brooks, Schefler, Kiper, Mayock, etc) discuss free agency; visits; scheduled visits contracts; signings, rumors and the whole nine yards. I will like to see a little ticker at the bottom of the screen going over signings, needs, etc.

So I'm just a little curious; do you guys prefer the Free Agency period over the draft and season, or am I the only loser?
