Well, then.

ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting that defensive end Mario Williams will make a free agent visit with the Buffalo Bills. That's happening tonight. Tonight, people.

Whoa. This is serious, friends.

The one other team that is reportedly serious about their pursuit of Williams is the Chicago Bears, who would like to pair the 2006 No. 1 overall pick with stud Julius Peppers. Previous reports indicated that Williams would visit with the Bears first, but that does not appear to be the case.

You don't need us to tell you how big this is. Williams is one of the best pass rushers to hit the open market in recent memory, and the Bills, for whatever reason, have the first shot at securing his services. Don't question it. Embrace it. Obviously, it's no lock that one of the most coveted free agent commodities ever will land in Buffalo, but it's quite helpful to have the first crack.

Keep it locked in. Much more coming this afternoon, tonight and throughout the day tomorrow.
