Mario Williams is not the only free agent paying a visit to the Buffalo Bills tonight.
WGR 550's Sal Capaccio reported that the team is interested in New Orleans Saints receiver Robert Meachem, and Manish Mehta followed that up by reporting that Meachem will be at One Bills Drive on Tuesday night.
Meachem, who will turn 28 in September, was a first-round draft pick of the Saints in 2007, and has spent most of his career as a fourth (sometimes third) receiver with New Orleans. The 6'2", 210-pound target has been one of the league's best vertical threats in Sean Payton's offense for the past three seasons, during which time he's caught 129 passes for 1,980 yards (a 15.3 yards-per-catch clip) and 20 touchdowns. In Buffalo, Meachem would conceivably become the team's No. 2 receiver, where he would slot in between Stevie Johnson (No. 1) and David Nelson (No. 3).
So there you have it. GM Buddy Nix told BuffaloBills.com earlier today that the team had two targets in mind, and they've scheduled Tuesday night visits with Williams and Meachem. Let the games begin!
