Heres why....Buffalo (for the first time in a long time) has no GLARING needs. Yes, we have lots of areas where we could use an upgrade but nothing that we would absolutely have to use a pick on. What we do have, is the ability to add talent in the first 2 rounds and pick players that will push for starting spots almost anywhere in the lineup. No matter who the Bills choose, it will be a player that can come in and challange for a spot in the starting lineup. That being said... Buffalo is NOT in a position to get any of the ELITE (top 5 or 6 in this draft) players. Players in picks #7 through mid 2nd round are all in that second tier of prospects. All have shown skill and have talent but each has questions or concerns. The sad side of this for the Bills is...they have one of the earliest of the second tier picks which means they dont get good value at #10. Buffalo could take ANY of the OT at #10 and people would be happy...however, they could trade back to the END of round 1 and STILL get one of those same OT. Same can be said for DE, TE, DB, etc...
There is no prospect (outside the top 6) that i feel the Bills would justified in taking at #10. Obviously if they cant trade back..they will make the best of it :).
My hope is for the Bills to find a trading partner and my first choice would be the Bengals (their 1st 1st rounder and 2nd rounder) or the Browns (2nd 1st rounder and their 2nd rounder). Just my thoughts...
