Draftmania

Hello Rumblers! After spending hours everyday reading great posts on this blog I decided it was time to make my own account. So here goes my first post.

The Bills can go in many different directions in this year's draft. Here is my take on who they should take:

1st: Michael Floyd WR - Buddy gets his version of Calvin Johnson with this pick. Honestly I think Floyd is one of the only players worth taking at number 10. Left tackle is a big need but Reiff and Martin are not dominant blindside protectors worthy of such a high pick. I would love for the Bills to trade down but i hate mocking trades as it takes two to tango. Floyd instantly makes the offense better and gives the Bills that tall receiver they've been trying to get for years (James Hardy...)

2nd: Zebrie Sanders OT - Instead of reaching for a left tackle in the first, I have the Bills getting a talented one in the second. Sanders has the length that Reiff lacks and the physical play that Martin lacks. He has great size at 6-5 320 and has the athletic ability to challenge Hariston for the starting spot.

3rd: Chase Minnifield CB - Buddy said he planned on adding two corners in the offseason and gets his first here. There is plenty of cornerback prospects to choose from with this pick and Minnifield has the tools to start one day. The improved d-line should make the entire secondary look better but adding in some youthful talent to eventually replace Florence/Mcgee would be a smart move.

4th: Sean Spence OLB - Besides Barnett (and Scott if you want to call him a linebacker) the Bills have no one at this position who can cover. Spence is a smaller guy who may not be very strong, but the kid can ball. He can step in immediately and help the pass coverage in nickel sets.

4th: Brandon Lindsey DE - Even with the additions of Williams and Anderson, any football fan knows that you can never have too many pass rushers. Lindsey is undersized but can hopefully put up some numbers when given an opportunity to get after the QB on 3rd downs.

5th: Trenton Robinson FS - The Bills need someone who can step in if Byrd were to get hurt. Robinson is a very solid player and provides a little insurance in case we can't get Byrd re-signed next year. Which I really hope isn't the case.

5th: Michael Egnew TE - The back-up TE spot is pretty much up for grabs. Egnew will get a shot to show Gailey & crew what he can do.

6th: Steven Johnson OLB - Johnson had the production that Nix likes in his time at KU. He also can run and will compete with Moats and Batten for a roster spot.

7th: Cameron Chism CB - Once again, a player with a lot of production coming out of Maryland. Nix said he would add another corner so here he is.

7th: Kaniela Tuipulotu DT - Hawaiian player that would serve best at the 3-technique.

Well that's it. Questions/Suggestions?
