Buffalo Bills, Scott Chandler Agree To Two-Year Deal

Having already re-signed wide receiver Stevie Johnson to a long-term deal earlier this week, the Buffalo Bills appear to have reached an agreement with another of their more critical members of the passing attack. Tight end Scott Chandler took to Twitter on Thursday to celebrate his being "reunited" with the Bills; though nothing is official yet, it's looking likely that a re-signing announcement is forthcoming.

Chandler, 27 in July, is coming off a career season in which he tied the Bills' franchise record for touchdown receptions by a tight end with six. After hauling in just one pass in his first four years in the league, Chandler caught 38 passes for 389 yards in 2011, and made the tight end position relevant in Buffalo for the first time in what felt like decades.

Financial terms of the purported deal have obviously not yet been disclosed, though it is reportedly a two-year deal. In reaching agreements with Johnson and Chandler this week, the Bills have not only retained two of their top three touchdown makers from a year ago, but also their first- and fourth-leading receivers, as well.
