The Buffalo Rumblings Community Mock Draft rolls along, with the No. 22 overall pick coming at you right now...
With the No. 22 overall pick in the BR Community Mock Draft, 'MynameisnotMike' and the Cleveland Browns select Baylor wide receiver Kendall Wright.
"The Browns need to add major weapons for the offense," the GM explains. "'Billsoferie' and I knew that getting immediate impact players on offense with these first two picks was crucial. Right tackle, defensive end and cornerback could also be considered as areas where an immediate starter needs to be added, but we felt those areas can wait until after the first round. As well, we considered that depth across the roster could be addressed with their other picks: the Browns still have a fourth from the Julio Jones trade and four compensatory picks in the later rounds."
The Cincinnati Bengals and GM 'DanRoc' are now on the clock; remember to send your picks to firstname.lastname@example.org.
"Kendall Wright is a legitimate play-maker that helped create a Heisman winner in Robert Griffin III," 'MynameisnotMike' continues. "He’s a durable, hard-nosed receiver with consistent production that can play in many different spots, which is exactly what the Browns offense needs. Wright can be the deep threat that they need, as the Browns need someone to stretch the field for players like Greg Little, Joshua Cribbs, Mohamed Massaquoi and now Trent Richardson to have more space underneath. He can work in the slot, and the Browns offense can get creative with spot on the field. However, the Browns do need a legitimate No. 1 receiver, and I think with this addition, Little could have much more room to excel and become one. As well, Wright could take the reigns as the No. 1, so it’s quite the healthy competition to have."
"I considered Stephen Hill as well," the GM concludes, "because of his deep threat ability, but Wright was a much safer and smarter pick for the Browns. Hill could develop into a monster considering his limited opportunities at Georgia Tech, but the Browns are in a position where they can’t afford to take anyone that resembles a risk. With that said, I believe with Richardson and Wright as new weapons for the Browns, their offense will improve significantly for the 2012 NFL season."
