2012 NFL Draft: Mark Barron Headlines Trio Visiting Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills continue to host 2012 NFL Draft prospects on pre-draft visits, with a trio of players confirmed by the team to be at One Bills Drive today: Alabama safety Mark Barron, Boise State pass rusher Shea McClellin and Central Florida cornerback Josh Robinson.

Insofar as mythical "draft stock" goes, these are three of the hotter prospects on the market at the moment. Barron is the headliner, a sure-fire first round pick that has seen his name creep up in mock drafts lately thanks to the lack of clarity and top-notch talent at other positions, such as left tackle. McClellin is now a strong bet for the first round, and has drawn comparisons to Green Bay's Clay Matthews, while Robinson has been on the fringes of Round 1 conversation ever since a stand-out Combine workout.

Barron's visit is intriguing for two reasons. One: he's coming off of off-season surgery that prevented him from doing some drills at his pro day, where he clocked a 40-yard dash time in the 4.5-second range. Two: this is a player that should be discussed by Bills fans more frequently as an option with the No. 10 overall pick, as he has the size, production and ability to defend the run and pass that the team covets in its defensive backs.
