Lets say the bill stay put with their 10th pick, no trading up or down with that pick . What is the best thing for this team to do at this spot in the draft?
I've been hearing a lot of tackle talk with the 10th pick especially involving Riley Reiff. However IMO it doesnt seem like a good idea nor do i think it will actually happen. Looking at the top 5 tackles, aside from Kalil i see none worthy of a top 10 pick maybe not even in the top 15. Also IMO, again aside from Kalil, no other OT stands out that much from the other top 5 OT available maybe Reiff does but i still see him as a reach at 10.
I think and also hope NIx will look at either WR Micheal at 10 or LB Luke Kuechly if either are available. I do believe Kuechly will def be there at 10 but not positive if Floyd will make it that far with the Jags ahead of us. However not sure which player id be more happy with; FLoyd seems like a game breaker, but I'm not sure if he'd be that for the bills with are offense/qb (nothing against fitz but i just cant picture the Bills having a real game breaking wide reciever idk why it just doesnt seem possible ) Kuechly on the other hand seems like the real deal, he's smart, tough, and loves to play the game ,he'd probably be the safer pick of the two with no questions about his game, but say the bills pick him and hes great I'd still be upset if floyd turns out to be a stud as well for another team, knowing that we could have had him.
With that said i am 100% against picking a OT at 10, not one of these players seem like sure things at LT maybe some at RT but i dont want to waste a top 10 pick on a RT when one of equal or only slight less talent will probably be available in the 2nd round especially when we can possibly get an impact player at WR or LB and Pears was pretty reliable last year and im comfortable with him as our RT.
If i were NIx and we take Floyd or Kuechly i would try and trade up in the late first round to get one of the OT still available possibly Cordy Glenn, Mike Adams, or Johnathan martin, atleast one should be their in the mid to late 20's OR the Bills could hope one falls to them in the 2nd round or even trade up a few picks in the early 2nd and nab one of them if it looks like a team infront of them may nab one of the OT left.
Finally decision: Draft Floyd at #10, in the 2nd round get an OT, they always seem to fall every year and their is a good amount of above average talent at OT in this years draft just not top #10 talent (aside from Kalil again) so one is sure to fall to the 2nd round get one of them there and fill the rest of our needs in the 3rd and 4th rounds CB then LB.
