I'm sick of hearing about all these first round prospects and their potential so I'm going to list a few names of guys that will show up in rounds 2 or later that could end up being Bills picks. These are all guys that could potentially be the answer at the positions of CB, LB, WR, QB, and LT. Which players would you be most comfortable taking?
WR Dwight Jones - Pros: Great size at 6'4...Gets off the line very well…Effective after the catch...Great route runner.
Cons: Doesn't have great speed...not a great blocker....not great at recognizing coverages.
WR T.Y. Hilton - Pros: Roscoe Parrish 2.0....Small, shifty and quick....great vision...used all over the field....
Cons: Like Roscoe, has durability issues....not great against press...limited route tree
OT Matt McCants - Pros: Elite LT arm length...athletic enough to get in front of screens...perfect footwork
Cons: Could and should add more strength...struggles with power rushers
CB Ryan Steed - Pros: Great arm length...great instincts...fantastic in zone coverage
Cons: Questionable deep speed...not great with his press...very raw technique-wise
LB Demario David - Pros: Very athletic and physical....strongest LB at the combine and one of the fastest....great character, no problems at school and was on the academic honor roll
Cons: Played at a small school, so not great competition....technique needs to improve....
QB Nick Foles - Pros: Great size (6'5)...takes what the defense gives him....great arm strength....very, very accurate
Cons: Checks down a bit too often (uh oh) but has gotten better at taking risks...comes off targets to quickly...didn't really read defenses in his college system.
Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.
