a different developmental qb?

I was just looking at some draft articles and reviews and a thought hit me. It seems the browns are rebuilding their offense from the ground up around weeden. since they don't think colt mccoy can get the job done, might they be willing to trade? hypothetically, what if we were to trade thigpen and a mid round pick for mccoy? i don't know a ton about him, to be honest. from what i understand, the browns run the west coast offense which isn't terribly different than our quick strike and he would have the chance to learn behind fitz and david lee. the browns get a veteran backup and an extra pick, and we get our developmental qb. what do you guys think? good or bad idea (assuming there was any chance it could happen)?
