In selecting South Carolina cornerback Stephon Gilmore in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft, Buffalo Bills GM Buddy Nix used his sixth straight pick in the first three rounds on a defender. On day two of the draft, he got back to giving Chan Gailey help on the offensive side of the ball, addressing the team's two most glaring needs: left tackle and wideout.

Georgia tackle Cordy Glenn was the pick in the second round; the massive 345-pound lineman has the required length and range to play left tackle, and that's where the Bills will start him. He'll compete for the starting job there immediately. In the third round, the team sacrificed a seventh-round pick to move up for North Carolina State speedster T.J. Graham to their receiving corps; while Graham lacks polish and will need to compete for playing time, he gives the Bills a speed element that they lacked at receiver. He's also a decorated kick returner.

With their three picks to this point, the Bills have addressed arguably their three biggest needs with players that are considered above-average athletes at their respective positions. Here's to hoping they've found three good football players. Buffalo will wrap up the 2012 NFL Draft tomorrow with six more picks - four of which occur within the first 50 picks of Saturday.
