There are some very interesting tidbits in here. The trade deadline being pushed back allows for teams who are clearly in or out of the playoff race to adjust their rosters. Most exciting in my mind is the "marquee player" IR exemption. Now if Mario Williams or Fred Jackson gets a tough injury, they have the incentive to rehab all season and come back later on without Buffalo using a precious roster spot.
