Good morning Rumblers,
Happy Hump Day :-/
Today's Joe will be interesting one. We all know the story of the Dick Jauron era and that during his reign as the head coach, he led our Bills to a 24-33 record. He's also known for drafting first round bust Aaron Maybin, John McCargo; head case Marshawn Lynch, and reaching for Donte Whitner and striking out on Leodis McKelvin. But beyond all of his first round busts, he did leave behind some key pieces. What's also interesting, is that the pieces that were left beyond are actually key components to our team.
There are 10 players that were left behind and ACQUIRED from the Jauron era. This list does not include players that were here prior to Jauron taking the reigns in 2006 (Kelsay, Lindell, McGee, Scott, Wilson, Moorman).
Now what if I told you, that the 9 of the10 players that were left behind are all starters? Pretty intersting huh? Through all of the great drafts and recent FA pickups by CHIX, the Jauronians (players from the Jauron era) are the most prevelant players on the roster. Lets look at them:
RB Fred Jackson
OG Eric Wood
OG Andy Levitre
LS Garrison Sanborn
DT Kyle WIlliams
DT Spencer Johnson
CB Leodis McKelvin
FS Jarius Byrd
Now Bills fans, my question to you is what Bills player was the greatest gift from the Jauron Era?
