So! Let's see, on our side of the ball you're not going to see Adrien Peterson (but he is back in practice) so instead you'll see Toby Gerhart as our featured back (for at least the first quarter). Think of him as a speedier Mike Alstot and I think you'll get the picture of his style of running. Behind him is out sophmore QB Christian Ponder who has looked decent in preseason but not good enough to still the fear of the Viking faithful. Defensively we have a lot of new faces but as we were like the worst in the NFL last year it's hard not to see some shuffling going on. Our secondary still looks suspect and Fitz might have a solid day against them, that is if your line can keep our D Line out of the back field.
Heya Bills fans, this isn't a regular season game but it's still nice to know a bit about your opposition. So here I am a fairly well versed Viking fan to answer your questions and maybe ask a few of my own.
It looks to be a fun game and honestly as a preseason game you really can't read to much into it.
So my questions to you, it seems to me that Fitz is a solid QB and I don't really understand why every year the questions about him starting keep popping up. Are his numbers inflated against bad teams? Does he choke? Should I not pick him for my fantasy team? Oh and how's your O line shaping up? we have some new pass rushers coming along and I sure would like to know the ability of the guys they are facing.
Defensively you guys seem pretty solid, what did you all do in the off season to keep this going?
Oh and Vince Young? Do you REALLY want him starting as your QB? (I'm still a fan of Thigpen since he came out of Minny so long ago...) Anyway, there it is, ask away and I or one of the other DailyNorseman faithful will try to answer as best we can.
Here's to a good game with no injuries... (oh and Ponder throwing three TD's and no int's...)
Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.
