We can only hope that this issue is settled before opening day. In the games I have watched this preseason the refereeing has been embarassing. And that's putting it mildly. How many regular season games will be decided because of a whacky off the wall call?
These people have total control over the game on the field and we should be concerned if the replacements are still working when the regular season starts. Right now it appears the owners are firmly stuck in their usual intransigent ways, so there is no progress. Given the amount of money the league and owners take in yearly it is incomprehensible to me to think this is mainly a money issue. But it is. The owners are pulling the strings here, not Roger Goodell. Owners, you get what you pay for. You all need to realize the product on the field is cheapened and compromised with these people. The experiment using replacements has been a failure. Pay them and let's get on with it. We the fans deserve better.
