As was reported widely on Thursday evening, free agent safety Jim Leonhard is extending his visit with the Buffalo Bills into a second day on Friday. The only other element to the developing story that GM Buddy Nix would disclose to The Associated Press today? Leonhard has already taken his physical with the team.
George Wilson, however, also told BuffaloBills.com that Leonhard told Wilson that the Bills would be working Leonhard out on Friday morning. Add the two up, and we can pretty safely surmise that Leonhard has passed his physical with the Bills.
That's noteworthy, of course, because Leonhard is coming off of surgery to repair a torn patella tendon - a surgery that he had two to three weeks after Terrence McGee had it last year. McGee is still being held out of action during team drills at training camp, so it's fair to wonder how much Leonhard could practice if he does, indeed, sign with Buffalo.
