Thanks to some kind folks in Buffalo, as well as on Long Island, I now have tickets to both Week 1 (BUF @NYJ) & Week 17 (NYJ@BUF). I see this as a unique opportunity to contrast the first and last moments of each team's regular season.

By addressing details such as changes in depth/personnel, player decline/development, wins/losses, playoff implications, etc... I will attempt to provide a "Before & After" that, at a glance, lends insight into how their respective seasons unfolded.

While there will undoubtedly be plenty to analyze after sixteen games of football, in the meantime I will leave you with a short story:

The last time I saw the Jets and Bills play was when Fitz came in to lead them to an overtime victory a couple years ago. I remember thinking the game was over when I heard a collective "OH!" as I exited the old Meadowlands stadium. On the train home with my girlfriend, Jet fans absolutely refused to give me any game updates, and when I needed to get off they made me climb over them and would not budge. At that point I knew the Bills had done it.
