Two years ago, nearly to the day, I was invoking a scene from Arrested Development to help deal with the stink of the first Buffalo Bills pre-season game of Chan Gailey's tenure as head coach. That night, the Bills dropped a 42-17 decision to the Washington Redskins in a game that featured Trent Edwards and Donovan McNabb as its starting quarterbacks.
The two teams meet in the pre-season again tonight, and needless to say, things are much different this time around - starting with the star power provided by the likes of Mario Williams and Robert Griffin III. (There's an Arrested Development movie in the works now, too!)
This is your open thread for tonight's pre-season opener. I'll be up at Ralph Wilson Stadium in my usual seat, and I'll probably be tweeting a lot - first out of excitement, and then out of sheer boredom. We'll have a post-game recap up tonight at some point; in the meantime, football is back, and this is the place to discuss it. Enjoy, and GO BILLS!
