This has been a brutal few days for Bills coverage in the media. Most has been warranted after the steamer that was laid at the Meadowlands. Not deserved was the Harrison rant on NBC. It has been discussed on this board enough what he can do with his opinions about the Buffalo Bills.
So, as I'm watching the YES network's this week in football "show" I observe a pundit one up Harrison. As he rips Mario for whining about hands to the face, I'm getting annoyed. "Cry me a river" and "hit him back if you don't like it" are getting me riled up, but isn't anything we haven't heard a dozen times already.
Then Laron Landry headshot comes on screen. "The rest of the league is going to be watching out for this guy now" as they are all grinning smugly. Blood pressure rising. They go on to praise how he is such a hard hitter. Turning himself into a missile and putting his helmet on the ball. Then the Freddy injury clip rolls, " look at this hit, he put Jackson out for at least a month with that hit!" chuckling. At that point I'm wrapping my hands and putting on the gloves for a heavy bag workout. 20 minutes later, I can see straight again.
I had to change the channel before a name appeared below this piece of work so I have no idea who he is. Its never OK to go on TV and gloat how your guy took out an opponent. This guy and those who shared in that roundtable don't deserve for their opinions to proliferate. Just an absolutely deplorable way of thinking about football.
So I've decided that the Jets have surpassed the Patriots as the team I despise the most. I'm aware the team didn't make those comments and I don't care. Sorry for the rant and my poor writing skills. Go Bills!
Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.
