So, it's never too early to be on the lookout for the playoffs, and this game is fascinating from a Buffalo Bills fan perspective. Who should we be rooting for?
For those of us with division aspirations, you gotta root for the Ravens. Though on the one hand, Tom Brady has won 10 consecutive AFC East titles. The Bills are 2-16 against them in the past 9 years. The Bills are already 0-1 in the division. But at the same time, on the other hand, the Patriots just lost at home to the Cardinals. The Patriots offensive line and defensive back seven are in shambles. They have strife with their receiving corps. Assuming the Bills can get to 11-5, it's not out of the realm of possibility that the Patriots lose 2 more games on top of this would-be Ravens loss and a loss to the Buffalo Bills (49ers, Texans and Broncos are all candidates).
For those of us who scoff at the thought of the Patriots or Bills going 11-5, a Ravens loss here would be key. The wildcard race already looks like a 5 team race for two spots: Bills, Jets, two of (ravens, steelers, bengels), and 1 of (chargers, broncos).
I'm more of the sanguine persuasion. I'm rooting for the Ravens (plus i think theyll win the north anyway).
So DOWN WITH BRADY.
