Ryan Fitzpatrick Tosses Bills Up 14-7 On Patriots

Stay connected for news and updates

Ryan Fitzpatrick is quietly having a heck of a game on Sunday. Despite two early interceptions - including a badly underthrown bomb - he is 12-of-16 for 164 yards with two touchdown passes to tight end Scott Chandler. The most recent put the Bills up 14 to 7 on a perfectly thrown ball up the seam, over the linebacker.

Fitzpatrick had an excellent throw to Fred Jackson on a wheel route to set up the score. With Jackson running step-for-step with Jerod Mayo, Fitzpatrick placed a beautiful toss over the top and Jackson made a perfect catch while falling to the ground.

Meanwhile, the two running backs who were questionable coming into the game have had a great first half. They have a combined 14 touches so far for 62 yards including several key plays.

Tyler Thigpen has been perfect on the two extra point holds in his first action on the kicking team. With just over two minutes left in the second quarter, the Bills could sure use a stop going into halftime where they kick off to start the third quarter.
