Bills Score, Close Deficit To 42-28

Stay connected for news and updates

Brad Smith was free up the right seam and Ryan Fitzpatrick found him for a 35-yard touchdown pass with 6:32 remaining in the fourth quarter. The points snap a 35-0 run by the New England Patriots where Bill Belichick's team has grabbed Chan Gailey's by the throat.

Smith is getting more work because the Bills are without Donald Jones who was obliterated earlier in the fourth quarter on a screen pass. Vince Wilfork sniffed it out and blew up Jones on a clean play. Jones was taken to the locker room for tests and with the game's outcome not in doubt, it's unlikely he'll be back.

The Bills have had some success against the Patriots safeties today, with three of the four touchdowns coming against safeties and up the hashes.

After an unsuccessful onside kick, the Bills are now down by two touchdowns with little time remaining on the clock and Tom Brady once again with the ball.
