Buffalo Bills' Cordy Glenn, Kraig Urbik Out "A While"

Timothy T. Ludwig-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

The 2-2 Buffalo Bills could be without starting offensive linemen Cordy Glenn and Kraig Urbik for the foreseeable future. Both players injured ankles in Sunday's blowout loss to the New England Patriots.

Adding insult to an already-offensive 52-28 loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday, the Buffalo Bills may be without two of their starting offensive linemen for the foreseeable future.

Rookie left tackle Cordy Glenn and right guard Kraig Urbik both left today's game with ankle injuries, and Bills head coach Chan Gailey told reporters after the game that both players could miss some time.

"Cordy got an ankle and it's going to be a while," Gailey said. "So is Urbik. Urbik had an ankle too."

Urbik got hurt early in the game and hung around on the sidelines for a while - getting his ankle re-taped and attempting some light drills - before eventually retiring to the locker room. Glenn was injured later in the game, bringing an early end to his fourth straight strong start.

That means that the Bills could be going into next weekend's game against the San Francisco 49ers and their league-best defensive front seven with two reserve offensive linemen on the field: Chris Hairston would get the nod at left tackle, and Chad Rinehart would replace Urbik at right guard. We'll know more as the week progresses, but the initial prognosis is not promising.
