Buffalo Bills running back Fred Jackson will have an MRI on Monday to diagnose the severity of a right knee injury suffered in today's 48-28 loss to the New York Jets. The injury has been initially diagnosed as a sprained LCL, but it looked much worse seeing it live.

On a second-quarter run off of right tackle, Jackson was hit low by Jets safety LaRon Landry. Jackson's right leg appeared to buckle as he went down, and though he walked off the field on his own power, he did not return to the game.

C.J. Spiller had a career day filling in for Jackson despite the ugly loss, carrying 14 times for 169 yards, including a 56-yard touchdown. It is crucial, however, for the Bills to get Jackson back quickly, as much of the team's offensive plans this season revolve around having two backs. The results of tomorrow's MRI will go a long way toward determining whether or not Buffalo will be without their top tailback for an extended period of time.
