The Irish and Crimson Tide are battling it out as I type this. I am kind of surprised that there wasn't already an open thread for this game but it's easy enough to put up a quick one. So far the Tide have rolled to a 14-0 lead. The Irish appear to have been jobbed on a muffed punt that was ruled a penalty for interference with the opportunity to make a fair catch. The Tide have been running the ball quite well, which is at least somewhat surprising given the presence of one Mante Te'o on the other side of the line. Maybe this is a sign that even a great single defender isn't enough to stop the bleeding--particularly if the other team works their scheme around the guy. Meanwhile, I've been interested in Eifert, Notre Dame's TE. He's had a couple of athletic looking catches. And Dee Millner for the Tide has had a couple of pass break ups. anyway, I hit the minimum word mark so here we go...
