Excuse me if my post sound similar to what someone else has posted already. I did not take the time to read other posts before typing this one. This may be a bit of a long read, but I just had to share my individual experience. This past weekend was my first time ever in Buffalo NY as I was born and raised in Harlem NY. I must say the city of Buffalo is gorgeous and the people were very kind and friendly. Friday night my wife and I made our way to the famous Anchor Bar. The wings were very delicious. They didn’t have the bite or kick as far as heat is concerned that I had previously heard about. However you can never go wrong with wings and an ice cold Sam Adams’ Octoberfest beer. Saturday was a bit more eventful. After hearing how chaotic it can be to get to the RWS, I decided to make a dry run to the stadium so that I would be more familiar with the route. I must say I was speechless. I felt like a lifelong dream was really coming true. After a bit of shopping in the Bills store, I was able to catch the team going through walk-throughs from the fence. To tell you that I didn’t feel like a little boy on the night before Christmas would utter and complete lie. Next stop was the infamous Duffs Bar. It was a beautiful day so we sat outside for a bite. The first round I battled the "Suicidal" level of wings. Suicidal did warm my internal palate. Round number I braved the dangerous waters of "ARMAGEDDON." Hands down I must have downed 2 liters of water almost immediately after the first wing. The clear champion between the two bars is definitely Duffs. Now it was time to walk off the two days of booze and wings with a trip to the Niagara Falls. It is a very beautiful place. I never ever had any inclination to visit the place. Since I was already in the area I might as well live the experience. I was not disappointed one bit. My wife surprised me by taking me to the Helium Comedy Club. The main act was Charlie Murphy. He was absolutely hilarious. We closed the night off with some grub from Soho. Sunday morning seemed as if it took FOREVER to move along. I donned on my brand new Robert Woods jersey and headed out the door. The ride to the stadium was pretty quick until we reached Abbott (I think that was the name) road. To see the all of the Bills fans displaying their pride by wearing or displaying all sorts of team regalia. Upon parking and watching how the veteran fans tailgated was extremely amazing. The smell of the fresh BBQ from the many grills, watching people toss around the pigskin, laughing and drinking had me in such a euphoric state. Getting through the security line was very fast so no headaches there. RWS was everything I thought it would be. Even more so the way many of you have described it to be as well. I was able to enjoy the game from the home team side of the house in section 138 row 20 seat 14 & 15. An awesome view for the price of the tickets. I am not going to bore you guys further with the details of the game. However for me, being that it was my first time at the Ralph, it was truly magical. Before I go I would like to give Coach Donnie Henderson a huge shout out. He has taken a depleted secondary and made them very functional. Not great, but functional. In my honest opinion they performed very well this past Sunday. So that is my shout out to one of the many unsung heroes of the staff. Thank you all for taking the time out to read my long winded rant. Go Bills!
