Bengals 27, Bills 24 (OT): post-game awards for Buffalo Rumblings Podcast

Timothy T. Ludwig-USA TODAY Spor

We need your help pinpointing key players and moments from the Buffalo Bills' 27-24 overtime loss to the Cincinnati Bengals for our next podcast.

It's that time of the week again: Brendan Harrington, Matt Warren and I are planning out tonight's Buffalo Rumblings Podcast, in which we'll be breaking down yet another Buffalo Bills game, and we're looking for your feedback from yesterday's 27-24 overtime loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.

Offensive Player of the Game

Thad Lewis accounted for all three Bills touchdowns in his first start for Doug Marrone, including two pretty fourth-quarter touchdowns that erased a 14-point deficit and sent the game into overtime. It's hard to imagine any of his offensive teammates beating him out for this spot, but if you have a strong argument to make for someone else, let's hear it.

Defensive Player of the Game

On a day where the defense didn't play particularly well in any facet of the game, we're sort of scraping for contenders here. Jim Leonhard achieved a personal record when he intercepted his third pass of the season. Kiko Alonso and Da'Norris Searcy were tackling machines, combining for 38 stops on the day - 22 of them solo. Searcy also added a sack, as did Marcell Dareus, and Kyle and Mario Williams split one. Good luck finding a clear front-runner here.

Turning Point of the Game

There were several key moments throughout the contest, and Doug Marrone was happy to mention nearly all of them in his post-game press conference, but you'll have your work cut out for you if you're planning on trying to convince anyone that it wasn't the Brandon Tate punt return in overtime that set up the game-winning field goal for Cincinnati.

Goat of the Game

Special teams coordinator Danny Crossman seems ripe for the picking now that his punt coverage units have given up critical plays in consecutive weeks. Leodis McKelvin quietly gave up two Bengals touchdown passes yesterday, as well. We're certain Marrone will be mentioned a few times thanks to critical in-game decisions that didn't go his way. Have a field day with this category, folks.
