First let me be very clear this post is not a Jeff Tuel is the worse QB ever and has no business being in the NFL type post.
That being said I have to wonder what exactly the Bills long term plans with a player like Jeff Tuel are and why he is still on the current Roster. As of this post the Buffalo Bills are currently Paying 6 quarterbacks (7 if you count money for Fitz). 4 on the active roster in Manuel, Tuel, Lewis, and Flynn. 1 on IR in Kolb, and 1 on the Practice Squad in Dennis Dixon.
After what was a bad night vs. the Browns it is very clear that Buffalo does not see Tuel as a primary back-up. Simply stated they don't trust him. So if you have a QB you don't trust get him off the roster and find someone else, or open the spot for another position.
If you think he has potential, you put him on the practice squad, seriously is this undrafted kid who can't be trusted as the back-up so full of talent and potential that we are worried about losing him if we cut him to put him on the Practice squad?
I am trying to wrap my head around why he still has a roster spot since I can't wrap my head around exactly what role he as for Buffalo both now and into the future.
Again this is not to bash the guy but seriously can anyone explain why you don't at the very least risk losing him to move him to the practice squad.
