I'll be attending the game tomorrow in Cleveland. I've been a fan of the Bills since I was a kid, just happen to live in Ohio. Lately, my saying has been, What Ohio State Giveth, The Buffalo Bills taketh away. With usually a win on Saturday and loss on Sunday, but been pleasantly suprised this year.
The last Bills game I have attended was 13 years ago in Indy, with Flutie at the controls. Part of the reason it has took me so long is I'm a pastor and I work on Sunday. And I can't just call in sick, because, well, my Boss (Capital B) will know! But to have Buffalo play in Cleveland and on a Thursday night...well, that's like a lunar eclipse that happens every 100 years. I couldn't pass it up!
But listen guys. Many of you go to games all the time. I need some advice, so here's some questions:
- How safe will I be in my Buffalo gear at the Dawg Pound? I'm not a real big guy...I don't have medical records to prove this, but I'm pretty sure I was born without biceps. I'm thinking of a Bills T-Shirt and Hat, instead of like dressing like a Buffalo or decked out in Royal Blue.
- Why am I so nervous? I get nervous thinking about the game. Part of it is I'm riding with 11 other guys, 10 are Browns fans, 1 is my Dad who is an Ohio State Fan. How do you get over nerves of a big game? (It's big for me, because of...you know...lunar eclipses only come around every equinox equator shift during the magnum p.i. index...sorry, no idea how often, I'm a pastor, not a scientist!)
- What would be your best advice for a Bills fan going to a road game?
Thanks guys! I'm on Rumblings almost every day, and love the community we have here. May not comment often but appreciate all the hard work, and the sarcastic humor when you need it after a tough loss.
