Buffalo Bills middle linebacker Kiko Alonso tweaked a knee injury on Friday that had kept him a limited practice participant throughout the week, and as a result, the Bills have listed him as questionable for Sunday's road date with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Alonso, a second-round pick out of Oregon, has played every defensive snap for the Bills this season after quickly earning a starting gig in his first pro training camp. Bills head coach Doug Marrone sounded optimistic that Alonso could suit up on Sunday; if things regress with his injury, however, the Bills may end up needing to use Nigel Bradham, Arthur Moats and nickel/dime safety Da'Norris Searcy more than anticipated to fill the void.
Kraig Urbik, the team's starting right guard, is also listed as questionable, even though he returned to the practice field on Friday following two days off rehabbing an ailing left foot. The Bills were already planning on increasing right guard reps for project player J.J. 'Unga, so even if Urbik suits up, we should expect a healthy rotation at that position on Sunday.
Things, however, seem to be a bit worse on the injury front for the Jaguars.
Gus Bradley says Maurice Jones-Drew and Jonathan Cyprien are doubtful for Bills game. Cecil Shorts questionable.
