Bills-Dolphins rematch will be blacked out on Sunday

Bills President/CEO Russ Brandon is already telling reporters that Sunday's home finale against the Dolphins will not sell out, and will therefore be blacked out on TV.

Buffalo Bills President and CEO Russ Brandon tells The Buffalo News via email that Sunday's home finale against the Miami Dolphins will be blacked out on television.

It's the first (and last) Bills game that will be blacked out in the 2013 season. Team owner Ralph Wilson twice previously bought out the remaining unsold tickets to ensure a sellout and televised games; that won't happen this time around, as Brandon told News reporter Gene Warner that roughly 16,000 tickets remain for this Sunday's contest.

Buffalo will be playing in Ralph Wilson Stadium for the first time since November 17, when they blew out the New York Jets, 37-14, prior to their bye week. The Bills are 3-3 at home this season, with wins over the Jets, Carolina Panthers (10-4) and Baltimore Ravens (8-6). Their losses have all been competitive affairs, as well: they include a two-point loss to the New England Patriots (10-4), a three-point overtime loss to the Cincinnati Bengals (9-5), and a 10-point loss to the Kansas City Chiefs (11-3) with third-string quarterback Jeff Tuel under center.

The Bills and the 8-6, playoff-competitive Dolphins will kick off at 1PM ET in front of a sub-capacity crowd on Sunday. Buffalo will look to complete a season sweep of Miami, having beaten them 23-21 in South Florida earlier this season.
