This is an interesting article. Breaks down our cap situation nicely. By cutting Kelsay we would save around 5 million. I mean seriously, this is a very very average player who the Bills made very rich for no apparent reason. We need to give this money to our impending free agents who are young and talented. Byrd and Levitre have to be locked up. They have to be 1st priority over any of the free agents out there.
Also, I really predict Fitz will be on this team. A pay cut as mentioned is probably the best bet, and I would assume Fitz would be willing based on his performance and future job outlook outside of Buffalo. By keeping him, at least that gives us a solid veteran and back-up to our hopefully newly drafted QB. I'd rather take a shot at one of these QB's, preferably in the later rounds then go for say an Alex Smith.
It seems from this article we won't be huge spenders in FA. Lets just hope we are smart and keep the young and talent guys. I hope one bills drive will finally part ways with the almighty God of a player Chris Kelsay.
Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.
