Whoah…….I was interested in what the vibe would be like in here after the QB announcement. I didn’t expect it to be so crazy. The QB announcement means absolutely NOTHING. It is February people!!!! Calm down.
Now that I got that out of the way, I have to say that this situation is starting to look strikingly similar to the Miami Dolphins QB situation last offseason. The only thing missing at this point is the number 8 overall draft pick QB (interestingly Miami had the 8th pick last year).
Miami had an incumbent starter who had proven that although not a horrible player was obviously not a quality starter in Matt Moore.
They signed a veteran QB, with starting experience who was familiar with the new offensive system being implemented, in David Garrard.
Lastly they had a rookie QB who many draft “experts” thought they had somewhat reached on ( this will no doubt be the consensus if the Bills do in fact pick a QB at 8 as well) in Ryan Tannehill.
Going into the start of minicamp the rookie head coach had declared that Garrard and Moore would be in an open competition for the starting job and Tannehill was clearly number 3 on the depth chart.
Is any of this sounding familiar people? I think so. We all know how Miami’s QB situation ended up shaking out so I think it is safe to say that at this point we can relax.
Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.
