The revisionist history NEEDS TO STOP

I am so tired of reading about our QB situation and seeing how many references there are to the guys we could/should have drafted. It's true that Wilson, Kaepernick and a handful of other QB's could have been easily drafted by the Bills. It's easy to look at it now and say "why don't WE have that guy when we could have?".

The fact of the matter is that even if we had drafted any one of those players there is no guarantee that they would be who they are in their current state if they played for the Bills. Scheme, supporting cast and situation play such a big role in determining success in this league that there is no way to accurately say that this guy or that guy would be doing the same things here.

It's too easy to look back and evaluate a prospect on what we see NOW from them, not on what we saw from them coming out of college, it's not like we passed on thoroughbred QB prospects like Luck, Newton or RG3. The guys that everyone wants to point to are ALL players that had a measure of "red flags" going into their respective drafts.

What I find funny is this........Say we had drafted Russell Wilson last year as opposed to TJ Graham. Since we are talking in hypotheticals to begin with let's say that Wilson flames out completely with us yet TJ Graham turns into a Mike Wallace type impact receiver for whatever team drafted him. What would the sentiment amongst the fan base be in that case?

The point is that in EVERY draft you will find guys that we could have had that are playing elsewhere with success but it does absolutely ZERO good to focus on these outrageous arguments.

Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.
