With the NFL Combine this week, future NFL players, agents, and the teams are all in one place. It leads to a lot of speculation and a lot of conversations.
Howard Simon goes through the Bills' free agent list and discusses the financial implications of signing Jairus Byrd and Andy Levitre. He notes that both could sign very large deals by showing comparable contracts from around the league, and also projects a couple more cuts in order to fit those two contracts under the cap.
"My job is to basically formulate one solid opinion for the Buffalo Bills from what I heard the scouts talk about and what picture they’ve painted me of this player. Then the ultimate decision maker will be Buddy (Nix), but we just try to put it together in a way where Buddy can make a qualified decision."
