I know Marcus Easley is an enigma to Bills fans: A cult figure, the butt of jokes, and a lost man on this roster. However, with the release of Donald Jones and David Nelson, he suddenly moves up the depth chart, possibly as high as #3 receiver.
One thing that I haven't seen mentioned here: Doug Marrone (and possibly Greg Schiano) are the only 2 NFL coaches who have actually coached against him when he was a starter... for Connecticut. In Marrone's first year, The Orange traveled to Connecticut, and were trounced by the Huskies, 56 to 31. Marcus Easley may have had his best game as a collegian, with 6 catches, 105 yards, and 2 TD.
Marrone may not have been happy with the outcome of that game, but I'm sure he remembered Marcus when he started researching the Bills roster a few months ago. Anyone think that Easley might finally get his chance this year?
