Super Bowl Sunday QB (Super Bowl Cheat Sheet)

Hey Fellow Rumblers,

Happy Super Bowl Sunday!!! This is a Cheat Sheet I made for my Super Bowl party today. Feel free to print out a copy and pass it around. Below the Cheat Sheet is my mock draft, and QB ranking.

Super Bowl Thoughts:

  • Last year’s Super Bowl was the single most watched television event in US history with 111.7 million viewers
  • Super Bowl Sunday is the day were the second most alcohol and food are consumed by America, second to Thanksgiving
  • 17 of last 20 Super Bowl were won by team’s whose home cities had a lower unemployment rate. This year it’s the Ravens.
  • Jim Harbaugh’s son – Jay works for the Ravens as part of their video and strengths staff. Jim Haurbaugh will be facing both his soon and brother in the Super Bowl.
  • Colin Kaepernick wrote a letter to himself at the age of 7, stating he will play QB for the 49ers when he is older
  • Team with the most offensive yds is 37-9
  • Team with the most rushing yds is 37-9
  • Team that has a INT returned for a TD is 11-0
  • Team with most passing yds is 25-21
  • Underdogs are 8-3
  • Ravens and 49ers both lost the conference championship last year
  • There are 5 QBs who have thrown for 8TD and 0INT in the playoffs leading to the Super Bowl. They are 5-0 in the Superbowl. Flacco is the 6th QB to fall into this category. Joe Flacco also has the most road playoff games in NFL history

The Pick:

Joe Flacco is in elite company. His 8-0 Stat line have super bowl win written all over it. The Ravens defense is doing a good job of not allowing big plays. The Ravens defense is full of veterans that will predict a young QBs moves. Perhaps the 49ers are the best team on paper; but on a Sunday there is a lot more than meets the eye. Ravens motivation and momentum will propel them to a 27-24 Super Bowl win.

Mock Draft (Not going to spend too much time in explanations, based on my BB and Steuber BB)

  1. Kansas City Chiefs: Luke Joekel (OT) - Texas AM
Chiefs will sign Alex Smith in the off season to become their new starting QB.

  2. Jacksonville Jaguars - Domontre Moore (DE) - Texas AM
New HC Bradley has defensive routes and knows the importance of a potent pass rush.

  3. Oakland Raiders: Star Lotulelei (DT) - Utah
Raiders loose players to free agency and had a difficult time stopping the run

  4. Philadelphia Eagles: Chance Warmack (G) - Alabama
This pick will be debated, but Warmack is arguably the best player in this draft. Eagles offensive line needs help

  5. Detroit Lions: Bjoern Werner (DE) - Florida St.
Lions lack a potent pass rush to compliment their inside defensive players

  6. Cleveland Browns: Jarvis Jones (OLB) - Georgia
Hortan's arrival will impact this pact. No reason to think Weeden cannot be a starter, esp with new coaching staff

  7. Arizona Cardinals: Matt Barkley (QB) - USC
Barkley is still the best QB in this draft class, and Arians will succeed with him. High IQ, footwork, PA.

  8. Buffalo Bills: Geno Smith (QB) - West Virginia
Bills finally get a franchise QB
2nd Rd: WR such as (Robert Woods - USC, Terrence Williams - Baylor, Cordarrelle Patterson - Ten)
    3rd Rd: OLB

  9. New York Jets: Barkevious Mingo (DE/OLB) - LSU

  10. Tennessee Titans: Dee Milliner (CB) - Bama

QB Ranking:

If Matt Barkley or Geno Smith are not available for the Bills to pick in the first round, they should not select a QB at 8. My favorite QB to be taken at the top of the 2nd round is Tyler Bray.

  1. Matt Barkley - USC
  2. Geno Smith - West Virginia
  3. Tyler Wilson - Arkansas
  4. Tyler Bray - Tennessee
  5. Mike Glennon - NC St.
  6. Ryan Nassib - Cuse
  7. Landry Jones - Oklahoma
  8. EJ Manuel - Florida St.
  9. Zac Dysert - Miami OH
  10. Matt Scott - Arizona
