Joe Flacco has been claiming for a few years that he is an elite QB and this year he's proved it. Baltimore are over the cap already and they believe that they have leverage over Joe with the franchise tag, however, Joe backed up his talk and what happens next could be really exciting for teams like ours in desperate need for a linebacker.

I'm sure the Ravens will do everything in their power to lock up Joe before he hits FA but given that they forced him to prove it he might use his leverage now to milk them for what ever he can. Nobody wants the Raven to franchise (Except us ...) but it is a real possibility and if it was to happen.... I'd love to see Whaley go after Kruger with everything he's got!

Kruger played a backup role in his first 3 years but came on the scene in 2012 with 9 sacks and 42 tackles. He is a big man at 6'4" and 270lbs. He would be a great fit for Mike Pettine's fresh start.

So if Joe decides to use his new found leverage to up the price and force the Ravens to use the tag on him, there's a good chance that Kruger actually hits the market. Is anyone else as interested in him as I am?
