OT Luke Joeckel emerged as the highest rated prospect in the Rumblings community. OLB Jarvis Jones narrowly edged out OT Eric Fisher, DT Sharrif Floyd and CB Dee Milliner for the second slot. We got stuck on 99 votes - about average for the recent polls that I've seen on Rumblings - and DT Sharrif Floyd held a narrow edge. In the interest of moving things along, Floyd takes the 3rd overall slot.
Remember, this is not a poll about who Buffalo or Philadelphia or anyone else would/should pick at #4 but the player that you believe is the next best guy available at whatever position--whether he fits a team need or not.
I averaged the results for 3 websites. The top 18 guys - plus QBs Barkely and Wilson - were (in no particular order, though lumped by position):
1. OT Luke Joeckel
2. OLB Jarvis Jones
3. DT Sharrif Floyd
4. Your choice of:
OT Eric Fisher, OT Lane Johnson, OG Chance Warmack, OG Jonathan Cooper, DE/OLB Dion jordan, DE/OLB Barkevious Mingo, DE/OLB Ezekiel Ansah, DE Bjoern Werner, DT Sheldon Richardson, DT Star Lotuleli, CB Dee Milliner, CB Xavier Rhodes, WR Cordarrelle Patterson, WR Keenan Allen, QB Geno Smith
QB Matt Barkley and QB Tyler Wilson did not make the top 20 but are in the mix due to the QB overvaluing that tends to happen on draft day. S Kenny Vaccaro, CB Desmond Trufant, WR Travon Austin, OT DJ Fluker, ILB Alex Ogletree, DE Damontre Moore and TE Tyler Eifert didn't average in the top 18 so they missed the cut.
We're down to 17 total prospects now that 3 have been slotted. I'm not adding in players to keep the number at 20 as I averaged the results for 3 websites to get the top 18 players (plus QBs Barkley and Wilson). The idea here is to build just the Rumblings top 10.
