Buffalo Bills star wide receiver, Stevie Johnson is trying to bring former Raiders receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey to Buffalo. The Raiders released Heyward-Bey just before the start of free agency. Because of the releasing of quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, the Bills will probably have a difficult time trying to sign a wide receiver in free agency. None the less, this would be a wise move for the Bills to make. Heyward-Bey is a vertical threat that can relive some pressure off Stevie Johnson. As well as running backs CJ Spiller and Fred Jackson.
Heyward-Bey in a lot of ways is like Mike Wallace. They both are very fast and could stretch the defense. The difference is that the Bills won't have to pay nearly as much for Darrius Heyward-Bey as Miami had to pay for Mike Wallace. Leaving the Bills the money to address needs such as guard, line backer, strong safety, and possibly quarterback before the draft. Bills fans should be encouraged that the Bills want to fill needs before the draft, because this will allow them to look to take a quarterback in the draft.
