It constantly amazes me how Buffalo fans constantly degrade everything the Bills do. Somebody should really do their homework. Do you honestly think that Buffalo does not have a plan? We let go marginal players that will not fit the new offense or defense under the new regime. There is no one person simply calling all the shots - it will be consensus and then the final word. Remember Marrone turned around the worst college program in the country in less than 1 year. He and his staff developed a raw quarterback into a 1st or second round pick and his recruiting did not leave Syracuse bare. They have put together the best recruiting class in the last 10 years.
The Bills have sent their entire coaching staff and scouts to all the major pro days and the combine. There are probably 5 quarterbacks in the draft that have minor flaws. These can be fixed by good coaching. Does Colin Kapernick ring a bell! I believe in the choice they will make. Don't assume that all the prognosticators are always right. Remember Marrone ate Gino Smith alive. Smith may or may not have it. However, you can bet that whomever they draft will be able to read a defense and throw with accuracy. Don't dismiss the Bills just yet. It is a long road to the season and I think most fans will be very surprised to see what transpires. Picking the right quarterback is the key. It is like a shell game where there is gold under one of the shells. I think they have the staff in place to mine that gold. Don't be surprised if they prove all the pundits wrong. Buffalo has put together an exceptional coaching staff that is smart and innovative. Syracuse ran a hybrid NFL offense, with average talent and still won bowl games. Marrone was sought after by at least 4 teams. He has proven to be a great teacher and talent evaluator. Give the guy a chance. He knows what he is doing and he will get rid of any player that does not produce. Buffalo still retains some excellent players from a team that had stale offensive coaching and the worst defensive scheme in the history of the Bills. In the Seattle game, players had no idea what the hell was going on. It was like shooting ducks in the bathtub. Save your negative comments until the season starts. Nobody on any station really knows what the Bills are up to. For the first time in ten years, I believe they have the right coaches and a scheme that will accentuate all are best players skills. This not a retread organization any more. There are some new tires, just let them roll.
