While commenting on one of the threads recently, I noticed that a Rumbler had stated that there aren't any QBs or WRs worthy of taking with the 8th overall pick. (There are plenty of posts regarding the QB position. Lets stay away from that in this instance and focus on WRs in this post.) Now I didn't out and out say that I agree with that person but mentally I agreed that there aren't any WRs worth taking with the 8th overall pick. That changed however with a tweet from Josh Liskiewitz that caused me to start looking at some of the WRs from this class.
I would like to introduce you to a couple prospects. One prospect is near and dear to the heart of some of you. He has been mocked to the Bills in the recent past. The player I am referring to is Cordarrelle Patterson. Here is a link to his Wikipedia page that gives you all of his stats, etc. Here are a couple links to some Youtube videos of his games. Cordarrelle Patterson vs FL, Missouri, Vanderbilt, and Georgia. And Cordarrelle Patterson vs Mississippi State.
The other receiver that I would like to introduce to you is DeAndre Hopkins. DeAndre Hopkins is currently mocked by Bucky Brooks and Josh Norris as going late in the 1st round to the Houston Texans with Charles Davis leaving him out of the 1st round entirely. Here are some notable links with regards to DeAndre Hopkins. This link is a Youtube video of DeAndre Hopkins vs five teams in 2012. And this one is a video of the Clemson Bowl game against LSU this year.
My question to you is this Rumblers. Are Cordarrelle Patterson and DeAndre Hopkins being valued correctly and at the appropriate spots? And are there any other WRs that you would prefer that the Bills draft instead? Feel free to suggest WR prospects. There is a poll below. Vote and state your case.
