Todd McShay mock draft: Chance Warmack, Ryan Nassib to Bills

Kevin C. Cox

ESPN's Todd McShay apologized to Bills fans after projecting Warmack to Buffalo in the Top 10.

In his most recent 2013 NFL mock draft, ESPN's Todd McShay began his explanation of the Buffalo Bills' first-round pick with the following line: "I feel like I should apologize to Bills fans for this pick given the team's quarterback situation, but there are reasons this makes sense."

With the No. 8 overall pick, McShay projected Alabama guard Chance Warmack to the Bills. (We'll leave it to you to decide whether or not to accept or reject McShay's apology.)

Citing Buffalo's need to protect whichever quarterback the Bills ultimately start in 2013 and the need to run the football effectively as rationale, McShay says the following of the 6'3", 317-pound lineman: "Warmack is one of the most complete guards I've ever evaluated. He is big, strong and nasty, and is an easy mover in pass protection. He's the rare guard worthy of a top-10 pick."

Names left on the board in this projection include quarterback Matt Barkley, wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson, pass rushers Barkevious Mingo and Jarvis Jones, and linebacker Alec Ogletree. McShay also supplied a second-round pick for the Bills in this mock, projecting quarterback Ryan Nassib to the Bills with the No. 41 overall pick.

How would you feel after Round 2 on April 26 if the Bills had landed Warmack and Nassib?
