Normally, I write much longer posts but this needs to be said.
Straight from Wikipedia: On September 27, 2009, Kolb made his second start in place of McNabb, throwing for 327 yards and two touchdowns in a 34-14 win against the Kansas City Chiefs. Kolb became the first quarterback in NFL history to throw for more than 300 yards in each of his first two career starts.
In Arizona he played behind a swiss cheese line and still managed to put up as good of numbers as Fitz. Kolb only had one weapon to throw to there and Larry was usually triple teamed. Here he would have Stevie short, CJ as a threat, Freddy as a vet and TJ stretching the field.
I still would like to take a QB in the 1st or 2nd but Kolb will take the lumps the rookie would in learning the offense. It also gives us the ability to take a project guy like EJ Manuel or Bray instead of needing a leader like Barkely Smith or Nassib. I am all for the idea and I think it would give a guy with tons of talent a shot at leading a team.
Right now Kolb represents the best chance of the team winning in 2013 and I'd like them to swing here and at the draft. We have 17 million to spend, lets get this guy signed.
