I know a lot of people don't think Kolb is an upgrade over Fitzpatrick, or that he is better than Tavaris Jackson but from a Cardinal fan he CAN be good. Over on ROTB I would be considered a "Kolbknobber" someone who wanted Kolb to be our guy. He suffered in 2011, but in 2012 he turned it on. He lead us to 4-0 defeating a Seahawks team who was really good, the Patriots, a 2-0 Eagles team, the Dolphins, ultimately losing to the Rams for our first defeat after being sacked an astounding 9 times times, none of which were his fault, and then your Bills came and flushed our season down the toilet by fracturing his ribs.
He was very productive, 8 TD's to 3 picks, 1169 yards, and in his 5 (6) games he outplayed the other 3 QB's who played for the Cardinals last year. He was even out-dueling Ryan Fitzpatrick at the end of the game before his injury. (Okay I'll cut you guys someee slack... WIPO was supposed to run with the football). He never got a fair shake in AZ. Yes he started but he was going into a scheme where he had to rely less on the run game and a scheme that Whisenhunt didn't know how to call, so a transition year was in order. In 2012 he happened to be sacked 27 times over the span of 3 games.
But I really think Kolb will thrive in Buffalo. Solid O-Line, solid running game, TE's that can be used effectively, and if you can add another guy to throw to opposite of Stevie Jackson Kolb will do tremendous things for you.
But hey, let's keep this on the down low... Don't want any Cardinal fans knowing I want the guy back.
