haha just kidding....
This year's free agency class is absolutely loaded with talent and depth at the defensive back position. At safety there is top tier talent like goldson, william moore, and louis delmas. There are second tier options like landry, kenny phillips, and stevie brown as well. Same goes for the corner position. At the top there is sean smith, keenan lewis, and DRC. Followed by players like derek cox, cary williams, and chris houston. I definitely think that the bills will go after one of these db's.
There is also a good amount of talent and depth at linebacker. On the strong side there is paul kruger, connor barwin, and manny lawson. On the weakside there is philip wheeler, thomas howard, and keith rivers. I see the bills pursuing one of these guys as well.
So after patching up our defense in free agency we head into the draft with needs at QB, WR, and TE. I think those will be our first 3 picks in no specific order. There is a couple different scenarios in which this could play out.
1. If geno smith is still there at 8 we take him. In round 2 we can take a shot at one of the best tight ends like eifert or ertz. Then take the best wideout available in round 3 like da'rick rogers.
2. If geno smith is not there then we take coradelle patterson. In round 2 we take the best qb available. Glennon, Nassib, Wilson, Bray, or Manuel. Then in round 3 we take Vance McDonald, Jordan Reed, or Gavin Escobar.
Assuming we patch up a couple defensive holes in free agency, how would you feel about going offense with our first 3 picks bills fans?
